My favourite movies

My constant source of inspiration is through the films I watch. I always want to make my favourite cinematographers proud of what I can do, even though they won’t realistically see my work, I want to think of how they might perceive it – it helps me strive to get better with my craft, and allows me to constantly stay fresh with my work.

interstellar

Interstellar is a visually stunning movie with spectacular cinematography. The film’s breathtaking scenes of space and time travel, shot by cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema, showcase the beauty and wonder of the universe. A photographer who appreciates the art of visual storytelling and has a fascination with space and science fiction may find the movie’s cinematography inspiring.

logan

Logan, on the other hand, is more of a character-driven film with a focus on emotions and relationships. The film explores the relationships between Logan, Professor X, and Laura, and their struggles in a post-apocalyptic world. A photographer who values storytelling and aims to capture emotions and relationships through their work may find the movie’s themes and characters relatable and inspiring. It is a beautifully shot film with a distinct visual style. The movie’s cinematography, shot by John Mathieson, is gritty and raw, which adds to the film’s emotional impact. The use of muted colors and a desaturated look gives the film a unique and cinematic feel that can be inspiring for photographers who value visual storytelling.

“STAYING FRESH.”
